CRYSTAL & mineral SPHERES
This page contains some pictures and descriptions of beautiful polished crystal spheres and shows some examples of what we have in stock and can source. Many crystals and minerals can be cut and polished into beautiful spheres, and the quartz family all polish really well. Size and grade of material (and its rarity) tends to determine the price - bear in mind that the carver has to begin with a much larger piece of material in order to create a sphere. Off-cuts, if large enough, can be formed into other smaller shapes or turned into tumbled stones. If your space, garden and wallet are large enough it is possible to obtain spheres cut from clear or smoky quartz that are so large you cannot get your arms round them!
Specimen spheres for sale are: clear quartz, included quartz, smoky quartz, rose quartz, carnelian, labradorite, petrified wood, graphic feldspar, ocean jasper, copper jasper, picture jasper, obsidian, lapis lazuli and malachite. Click on the links to take you directly to that section.
QUARTZ:
Madagascar has a wide range of quartz - clear quartz, often with lots of
veiling; smoky quartz in the full range of depths of colour, from the palest
grey to the deepest brown; and many types of included quartz.

ROSE QUARTZ:
I can never resist buying more rose quartz spheres, mostly because Madagascar
has such a wonderful range of colours and transparency in this material.
Asterated rose quartz (rose quartz that is finely rutilated) is quite common
in Madagascar, and you can see the asterism best with the Sun or another
direct light source reflecting on them. Everybody needs some rose quartz in
their home!
07029: Rose quartz weighs .77kg, size 8cm diameter - £65

07030: Asterated rose quartz, weighs .77kg, size 8cm diameter - £75

07031: Asterated rose quartz, weighs .64kg, size 7.5cm diameter - £70
808:Translucent rose quartz, weighs .29kg, size 5.5 diameter - £40
h001: Asterated rose quartz, weight .17kg, size 4.5cm diameter - £25
h002: Deep rose pink quartz, weight .23kg, size 5cm diameter - £35
h004 and h005 (similar in appearance): Translucent asterated rose quartz, weight .09kg, size 3.5cm diameter - each £15
CARNELIAN:
Once again Madagascar is the source of some beautiful deep coloured
carnelian material. This is a mineral that is basically a quartz chalcedony
that has a very high iron content. Djwhal Kuhl said about carnelian in the
1980s that in his view it is one of the most rapidly advancing minerals on the
planet - a quartz that thinks it is as good as a diamond! The energy is deep
and resonant, empowering and energising. I have a few spheres as well as a
range of freeform pebbles and boulders for sale (follow other links).

07023: weighs 1.3kg with a 9.5cm diameter, with cream markings - £110
LABRADORITE:
I always have labradorite for sale - freeforms, domes (follow links) and
spheres. Both Madagascar and Brazil have good quality material. I find it
welcomes being handled, and in fact the more you run your hands over it, the
more the colour comes out. A stone of mystery and great depths - magical in
many respects.

ILP001: weighs .62kg, size 7cm diameter. Greys and blacks with gold colour
play - £60

ILP003: weighs .62kg, size 7cm diameter. Greys and blacks with blue colour play - £60

507: weighs .41kg, size 2.5" diameter. Deep greys with blue colour play - £45 SOLD
PETRIFIED (FOSSILISED) WOOD:
Petrified wood is another Madagascan speciality. As well as some lovely slices
and freeform pebbles that are full of colour I have some lovely spheres, all
with very different colour combinations and markings. Pink, red and violet
colours are especially prized by collectors. As you might expect these are
very old and carry a great deal of Ancient Earth energy and knowledge,
especially connected with the realm of gnomes, dryads and woodland devic
beings.

07017: Brown, red and violet shades weighing 3.2kg, diameter 13cm - £200

07018: Brown, orange and tan shades with druse weighing 4kg, diameter 14cm - £200

07019: Brown tan and red shades with wood fibres weighing 1kg, diameter 8.5cm - £90

07021: Orange, tan and purple shades with druse weighing .9kg, diameter 8cm - £80

07022: Purple, red and cream shades weighing .7kg, diameter 7.5cm - £70
822: A prize specimen from our supplier's private collection!
Brown, red and tan shades with drusy cavities weighing , and 11.5cm in
diameter - £220
GRAPHIC FELDSPAR:
This is a relatively new find, being a sandy coloured jasper / feldspar, with
veins of deep brown smoky quartz running through it. I have this material in a
range of Freeform shapes (follow link) as well as spheres. To me it looks like
the big cat family - leopards, cheetahs and tigers, with their spots and
stripes. It has that sort of feel too - mysterious, camouflaged, moving in
stealth towards ones aims. With the smoky quartz inside it should also be
clearing, grounding and protective. The larger spheres are particularly nice
to hold, whilst the freeforms are very eye-catching.
805a: Lots of smoky quartz in this one! weighs .5kg, measures 7cm in diameter - £45
805b: This one is more flecked - perhaps more "tiger in undergrowth"! weighs .31kg, measuring 5.5cm in diameter - £25
805c: This one is more spotty - slightly muddy leopard, perhaps! weighs .2kg, measures 5cm in diameter - £20
OCEAN JASPER:
This mineral comes from Madagascar, where it gained the name because it had to
be mined from the shoreline at low tide. This material (especially the green
and white shades) is becoming more scarce, as resources become mined out.
There is an especially limited supply of the top grades of material, which is
intensely coloured. Ocean jasper has a lovely soft energy, very Earth energy
based, but also very watery and floaty. 07012 has small amounts of beautiful
white quartz druse; 07013 has some amazingly deep green drusy cavities;
07016 has a fabulous "polar ice cap" of quartz! 8I008 is top grade
and a very deep shiny green, with a few drusy cavities.
07012: weighs 3.9kg and is 6" in diameter - £200 - SOLD

07013 weighs 3.5kg and is 13.5 in diameter - £200
07016 weighs 1.2kg and is 9.5cm in diameter - £90
8I008 is an A* grade piece, weighs .69kg and is 7.5cm in diameter - £60
COPPER JASPER:
This is an unusual mineral, containing a mix of copper bearing jaspers,
quartz and feldspar. A one-off item.

07026: Copper Jasper weighs 1.25kg and measures 9.5cm in diameter - £60
PICTURE JASPER:
There are some amazing picture jasper formations (sometimes rather boringly
called polychrome jasper) coming from Madagascar, many of which look like
land-masses or seascapes seen from outer space. Some seem to be of worlds
other than our own, yet the main connection we get with this mineral is with
the Earth, and thus grounding and centering - yet they are also a good focus
for meditation and seeing where you are taken, which is not always where you
think you may be going!
H014: green, grey and tan shades, weighing .36kg and measuring 6cm in diameter - £45
H 013: striated grey, red and tan shades, weighing .33kg and measuring 6cm in diameter - £40
OBSIDIAN:
This mineral from Mexico is becoming really popular. I think that the energies
now are asking us to look deeply within ourselves and to work out our own
balance between who we think we are and who we truly are. It is a great stone
for those who have the courage to go within and confront and resolve their
relationship with their shadow side. Interestingly we are finding that young
children of 4-8 are being especially drawn to snowflake obsidian - amazing, as
its not a pretty stone, yet has the stark contrast in it of the black and the
white (I have a few nice palmstones in it.) Us older ones are being drawn to
the layered obsidians.....
8I105: Rainbow Obsidian weighs .52kg and measures 7cm in diameter - £40
8I101: Gold / Green sheen Obsidian weighs .621kg and measures 7.5cm in diameter - £40
8I103: Silver Sheen Obsidian weighs .224kg and measures 5.5cm in diameter - £20
8I102: Gold sheen obsidian weighs.659kg - £40 SOLD
A FEW RARITIES:
Here we have a very nice lapis lazuli sphere - you don't often find one of
this size and quality, and the mineral is increasingly hard to find - much of
the good stuff comes from Afghanistan, and is not easy to get out right now!
There is plenty of golden pyrites and a lovely deep blue colour to it. If you
are attracted to all things Egyptian, and want a really good stone to boost
the intuition, look no further.
8I126: Lapis Lazuli sphere weighs .397kg and measures 6cm in diameter - £110
I was also lucky to get this fabulous malachite sphere - the genuine article folks! Some of the shaped items you find on the market are not the real thing - malachite (being a copper mineral) is very heavy, and if a piece seems lighter than you think it should be for its size, question its authenticity! The shapes and formation in this one will keep you amused for hours - it seems to be full of animals and birds - what do you see? This will really help you go within, and has a great deal of Power waiting to be released.....
8I125: Malachite sphere weighs 1.09kg and measures 8cm in diameter - £200
